Canadian songbird Celine Dion made an Ines-inspired appearance as a presenter at the recent Billboard Music Awards, showing up on the red carpet in a forest-green leather dress!

This stunning piece featured a one-shoulder neckline and a revealing, yet tasteful, thigh-high slit. To top of the ensemble, Celine accessorized with a pair of printed black and white strappy sandals.

Celine also kept her makeup to a minimum, and her hair relaxed and wavy. Just like a beautiful Ines Glove, quite often, the most elegant piece is the simplest.

Victoria Day is a special day set aside to commemorate the birth of Queen Victoria, reigning queen of England from 1837 until 1901. During the period of her reign, women traditionally wore tight corsets, puffed sleeves, and elaborate crinolines beneath their gowns.

Gloves were a staple accessory for both men and women. Whether it was time for tea, church, or just a social call, gloves were a necessity. To accommodate the feeling of the time, long gloves like my sensual shoulder high gloves were actually worn so tightly that it would often take upwards of 20 minutes to don a single glove!

Tonight will be a night of fireworks, barbecues, and fun... but we shall never forget the ideals and fashion trends set forth by Queen Victoria.

Oh, the dreaded day is here! Sadly, this is one Canadian fashion trend that I simply cannot be a part of... ballet flats and sneakers.

My feet enjoy comfort as much as the next person, but this Canadian girl is a firm believer in the adage fashion over function. My feet may kill me, but as long as the heels look great, I am happy.

Nonetheless, it is my duty as a fashion blogger to report that this spring, Canadians are leaving their heels at home and opting for more comfortable, colourful ballet flats and running shoes. I have to admit that my short every day glace gloves and matching flats do look quite spring-like and fun.

Could this be the season when this Canadian changes her mind and finds comfort for her feet??? Not a chance... :)
