 Marilyn Monroe is perhaps one of the most recognized and iconic movie stars of the Golden Age. She was born Norma Jeane on 1 June, 1926, and found her fame in the movies of the 1950s and early 1960s.

After spending her early years living in foster homes, Marilyn began a career as a model, before quickly moving to the movies and starring in a series of films that lead to major appearances in The Asphalt Jungle and All About Eve (1950). She used her "dumb blonde" persona for comedic effect in many roles, but through it all, she would become one of America's greatest sex symbols.
