Gloves throughout history: when in Rome...
Gloves were worn during dinner in Ancient Rome. Known as digitalia, they were used mainly to protect the hands when reaching for hot meat.
Yes... food was grabbed with the hands, as there were no forks or other such utensils.
You can simulate Roman digitalia using Ines' my bling only fingers leather gloves! Though slightly longer than the Roman version, these unique gloves offer a contemporary take on eating... Roman-style!
